Dear Neighbor,

I’ve lived in Kalamazoo County nearly all my life, and I’ve been helping to improve the health of its residents as a physical therapist for my entire career.

In addition, to help address our county’s economic health, I serve on two county boards focused on jobs and economic development. Without adequate employment opportunities, we cannot prosper as a community. As your county commissioner, bringing in new jobs will be my top priority.

As we do that, we’ll also need to protect our high quality of life. Cleaning up blighted areas and protecting important recreational assets such as the Kal-Haven Trail and the Kalamazoo Valley River Trail should be high priorities.

No one can anticipate all the issues that will face the next county commission. But I believe taking an independent approach while remaining responsive to my constituents is the sensible course. With that approach I believe I can make a difference for the residents of Alamo, Oshtemo and Kalamazoo Townships and all of the citizens of Kalamazoo County.
